Washington County is seeking a Court Reporter for the Washington County Court of Common Pleas.  The position requires a high school education or GED, supplemented by two (2) years of practical experience in taking and transcribing legal material or any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for this position.  A Court Reporting Certificate is preferred.  Must be able to record court proceedings with a minimum of 95% accuracy at the following speeds: literary at 180 w.p.m; jury charge at 200 w.p.m; testimony and question and answer at 225 w.p.m.
Starting salary:  $53,444.73 plus transcript fees

Berks County Court of Common Pleas has an opening for an Official Court Reporter in Reading, PA. Starting salary is $26.87 to $37.56 per hour depending on experience with yearly cost-of-living increases and additional income earned by producing transcripts. New reporters are welcome! Possession of an RPR is preferred but not required. This 35-hour-per-week full-time position includes full benefits, including medical, dental, paid vacation, personal day, sick leave, holidays, and participation in the County of Berks’ pension program. A Luminex writer, Eclipse software, and all other needed equipment is provided as well as payment of NCRA/PCRA dues and a stipend toward seminar registration fees and costs to complete continuing education requirements.
